Honua offers a Reusable Sharps Container Washing System that allows hospitals and medical facilities to reuse sharps containers. The containers are sturdier than conventional disposable sharps containers and can be reused for several years. Eliminating the need to purchase costly disposable sharps containers allows hospitals and treatment facilities to save thousands of dollars in container costs. Use of this system alone should offset the bulk of the medical waste treatment costs incurred by hospitals each year. The reusable sharps containers come in all standard sizes and employ a unique locking mechanism on the lid, which can be unlocked at the treatment facility so the contents of the container can be emptied and consolidated for more efficient treatment.
